Quantum Algorithm Processor For Finding Exact Divisors
نویسنده
چکیده
Introduction The goal is to find factors of a given number N with n bits as required for various purposes. This may be done in a quantum algorithm processor fabricated in CMOS as originally promoted by the author [1]. Each register may execute in parallel the instructions in a wiring diagram to accomplish division by integers from 2 to √N. This amounts to dividing by all n/2 bit divisors (for n even). A zero remainder is indicative of exact factors. Nonrestoring division, the kind that does not use zeros in the quotient, was considered and found not to work as well for detecting zero remainders. This section suggests an appropriate wiring diagram that accomplishes restoring division. Later, to illustrate a tradeoff, division by successive subtraction is considered.

Exact Computat ion Using Approximate Gröbner Bases
We discuss computation of approximate Gröbner bases at high but finite precision. We show how this can be used to deduce exact results for various applications. Examples include implicitizing surfaces, finding multivariate polynomial greatest common divisors and factorizations over the rational and complex number fields. This is an extended version of a paper for SYNASC 2010, titled úPolynomial...

This paper generalizes several previous results on finding divisors in residue classes (Lenstra, Konyagin, Pomerance, Coppersmith, HowgraveGraham, Nagaraj), finding divisors in intervals (Rivest, Shamir, Coppersmith, Howgrave-Graham), finding modular roots (Hastad, Vallée, Girault, Toffin, Coppersmith, Howgrave-Graham), finding high-power divisors (Boneh, Durfee, Howgrave-Graham), and finding c...
متن کاملAn Effective Hybrid Genetic Algorithm for Hybrid Flow Shops with Sequence Dependent Setup Times and Processor Blocking
Hybrid flow-shop or flexible flow shop problems have remained subject of intensive research over several years. Hybrid flow-shop problems overcome one of the limitations of the classical flow-shop model by allowing parallel processors at each stage of task processing. In many papers the assumptions are generally made that there is unlimited storage available between stages and the setup times a...
متن کاملQUANTUM VERSION OF TEACHING-LEARNING-BASED OPTIMIZATION ALGORITHM FOR OPTIMAL DESIGN OF CYCLIC SYMMETRIC STRUCTURES SUBJECT TO FREQUENCY CONSTRAINTS
As a novel strategy, Quantum-behaved particles use uncertainty law and a distinct formulation obtained from solving the time-independent Schrodinger differential equation in the delta-potential-well function to update the solution candidates’ positions. In this case, the local attractors as potential solutions between the best solution and the others are introduced to explore the solution space...
متن کاملQuantum Codes from Two-Point Divisors on Hermitian and Suzuki Curves
Sarvepalli and Klappenecker showed how to use classical one-point codes on the Hermitian curve to construct symmetric quantum codes. For the said curve, Homma and Kim determined the parameters of a larger family of codes, the two-point codes. For the Suzuki curve, the bound due to Duursma and Kirov gave the exact minimum distance of Suzuki two-point codes over F8 and F32. Of more recent develop...
